It's been a week since the world said 'so long' to NASA's Opportunity Mars rover.
Although it's hard to say goodbye, this record-breaking, discovery-making, marathon-driving mission has paved the way for future exploration and discovery on the Red Planet. Take a look at how we're exploring Mars: https://mars.nasa.gov/ #ThanksOppy

Here is one of the videos that we created at NIA/NASA 360 about the people behind the newest mission to Mars. Insight and the Marco Cubes are on their way to Mars and will reach the red planet in Nov.
So stay tuned and to check out more about this mission go to NASA 360 on Facebook to watch more videos on the people that have helped make it all possible!
Look up tonight and see for yourself, Mars has changed color??
Take a look and learn more about NASA’s 3D Printed Habitat Challenge!
Future explorers will need somewhere to live and work on the surface of the Moon and Mars, but carrying the materials needed to build these habitats is no easy task. So what if we just built a habitat on-site? Enter NASA's 3D Printed Habitat Challenge: http://nasa.gov/3DPHab
Did you know that NASA has an App?
Check out the Promo for the new Technology Innovation App, then make sure to go and download the free app and see whats new in the world of NASA!!!
Take a look and a listen to a new Promo we just created for NIAC!!! Their doing some pretty amazing things for the future of space exploration.
NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) is not your typical NASA program. From deep space human exploration to advanced propulsion and robotics, the NIAC program aims to change the possible by supporting early stage space technology research that could radically change the future. To find out more about this exciting NASA program, and to learn how to apply, see nasa.gov/niac.
NASA’s Breakthrough, Innovative, and Game-Changing (BIG) Idea Challenge seeks teams of 3-5 university students to tackle real-world aerospace engineering problems and compete for NASA internships.
Be a part of something BIG! http://BIGIdea.nianet.org
NATGEO's "One Strange Rock" was a wonderful series and I had the opportunity to work on one of the episodes here in Iowa. This work was before I started working with NIA and NASA, but the connection and path I took after holds quite a connection.
It was amazing to see how this episode all came together and you can now view the episode "Home" on the all-new Instagram TV/IGTV, its truly worth a watch and keep an eye out for some of the sUAS aerials that we did right here in Iowa of Peggie Whitson's family home and surrounding areas.
It’s one of the first long form videos up there – possibly the first! So take the journey with Will Smith to the ISS and connect to our planet!

I wanted to share the promo for the 2018 RASC-AL Special Edition: Mars Ice Challenge. I hope you enjoy, share and take some time to learn more about what NASA is doing to overcome the challenges of capturing liquid water on Mars! These students from around the country are helping to create the process which will be used one day soon, as we send the first humans to the red planet.
Welcome to the National Institute of Aerospace in Hampton, VA. The National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) is a non-profit research and graduate education institute created to conduct leading-edge aerospace and atmospheric research, develop new technologies for the nation and help inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Hope you enjoy the new video about what we do and who we are:
The next Mars mission is on its way as Mars Insight Lander will reach Mars in approximately 6 months!!! It was great to be out in CA at Vanbenburg Air-force base for the NASA Mars Insight Launch.
Although it was a foggy early morning and we weren't able to see a lot of the launch, it went off as scheduled with no issues and on its way!!!
Marco-a and Marco-b deployed just like clockwork and those little guys are on their own journey to the red planet as well. Good luck and god speed!!
I'm really excited to finally get to say that "One Strange Rock" a TV series from Darren Aronofsky, began on the National Geographic Channel this month.
Myself and Lane Wooder of LW UAS, were very excited and lucky to work with Nutopia out of England, to provide aerial sUAS/drone work for Episode 10 about Astronut Peggy Whitson of NASA and her story, from Iowa to the ISS and becoming the longest tenured person in space. We spent a few days in Southern Iowa doing aerial work of her childhood home and town, as well as, learning about the Monarch Butterfly migration and meeting her family.
It was such and honor and pleasure to work with a talented crew, that went on from Iowa to film so much more around this story, I can't wait to see what they put together!
Make sure to watch this amazing series, its sure to offer some fantastic views and stories of our home!!
